It was a day before she had to leave for abroad. Past days, how it spent it was not hidden for both of them. She requested countless time not to send her and he was dying every second, in a mere thought of living alone without her. They consoled each other every time, knowing it all was only their outer visibility. Inside, both were wishing not to be left alone. But at last the day came..
The long back, when a innocent girl had been left, in this busy world, surrounded with massive crowd. She did not know any face, any voice was not for her. She was alone, scared. She was crying for her mother, her father , for her family. Her small moist eyes were looking here and there, searching for someone who could talk to her, call her, give his hand to her to hold. Someone, who could carry her in his arm, could save her from this bad world. But there, she was alone, stood with no one with her beside. Then night appears. She was sitting on road. Her throat was drying, stomach was hungry. Her dress was torn. She had needed food and water. She had needed cloth. The freezing wind was pricking her body with its coldness. She was crying. She was shivering. Her sobs was echoing and fading in hushed road. It was scary, it was dark. It was more then enough to die in.
A hand rested on her shoulder. She startled. It was same like of her mother. It had warmth. It had sooth. It was familiar. She smiled. She wiped her eyes and turned whispering “Maa…”
No, it was not her mother. It was not her father nor her family. It was a man. A man of tall height and broad chest. A man who had a pair of imprisoned eyes. He was looking her with red hue on face which was showing his anger in pain. She moved back in fear.
“Who are you?” She asked
“Maan” he replied.
To her utter surprise, he gave his hand to her, to hold it. She looked him with confusion. He closed his red eyes, seemed he had known his big-blood eyes was scaring her. She stared him for few moment, then with shaky hand she held his hand. He pressed her hand, softly, tighter. Conveying her message, she needs not to be frightened. He guided her to follow him. She did. He felt good. He gave her food. She ate, finished it. He felt satisfied. He gifted her dress. She wore. He was amazed looking her. She spoke she had dreams. He fulfilled them. She jumped in joy. He found his heart danced too, along with her. She said she wanted to be there, with him, always. He accepted, he smiled and laughed in joy. She smiled looking his laugh for the first time since, they had met. She came near him. He felt his heart wanted more. She touched his heart. He felt his heart started breathing fast. She kept her head on his heart. He found life touched his dead soul. She hugged him, he hugged her back. They smiled together. They both started dreaming again. They started living again. She lost her own self in him. She was listening the calm song of his heartbeats.
Suddenly she found, song started fading away!!! The sound started becoming vanished. She opened her eyes. He was not there. Her Maan was not there. She became restless. She started searching all around. She screamed “Maaannnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Maan heard her scream. He hurried, stood up from the bed, where he was passing night with opened and wet eyes. He run down stairs. He runs to her room. She was not there. He pushed his hair back in worry. “Geet!!” he called her, very loud. She did not respond. He closed eyes, tried to hear some sound, any sound which would gave her whereabouts. He heard her sobs. It was coming from inside a closed door. He rushed there. Pushed door, found her cuddling in her own arms, crying. “Geett” he runs to her, took her in his arms, patted her hairs, her head. Kissed her head. Gave his warmth to make her calm. Tried to Make her free from the pain she was going through. “Geet..please don’t cry.. what happened” … she cried more in response..
“Geet please tell love what happened” his heart sank. He was dying seeing her falling apart in his arms. He found himself helpless. “Geet please bolo” he begged..
“Maan I don’t want to go.. please dont make me orphan again… I don’t want to be alone again.. please Maan…” her uttering was fading yet he heard. His heart shattered in pieces. He embraced her tight, submerging her in him, in his body. He wanted to let her know, feel.. she was not just a body but his soul too. He was not sure what to say, how to console her. He too, was dying since heard her leaving but, he wanted her to complete her dream.
“NO… No I will not.. I will not listen you Maan .. not anymore. I will not go and that ..is final!!!!!” She pushed him forcefully, she was screaming, shouting, showing her fear. She feared for loosing him, loosing him from her life. She had not faith on her fate, on her destiny. “Geet please” he hugged her again, she was not in sense. She was not knowing what she is doing!!!! She wanted him to agree not send her away from him. Maan was hugging her, trying to calm her without a word. He knew, he had nothing to say, nothing to speak which would made her not to cry.
“Maan please bolo na mujhe nahi jana” she looked him with such expression it sieved his heart, injured it. He had to become strong. He could not bend down in front of her tears. He had to see, her every dream should be completed. He had to be sure she would not repent her any decision, later. And for this, he will have to become, what he was not.
“You are going !!! AND This is my LAST DECISION”
His words had threat, warning. She stared him. She did not move further, did not cry more, did not utter a word again. She knew she had no choice. He wanted her to do and she had to complete it. She nodded, without a blink she read his face. It was blank. She wiped her tears. She stood up. She reached to door and turned.
“Maan.. It will cut me in two pieces, will blood me. One part of me will be there, alone and dying and one, here shattered and dead but I will complete your decision ….” She left, leaving Maan, be suffocated in his own tears…
The Morning arrives. Geet was ready before time. Maan watched her. She was not talking him nor looked once. She was depressed and dejected. She was going somewhere. Maan waited, expected her to inform him but she did not. She opened car door
“Geet where are you going?” Maan followed her, asked.
“Collage” she replied.
“Meera had called. Some important documents are left there” She replied and left. Without giving a look to him. Maan was not shocked nor angry. He knew very well she was not angry with him, but with his decision . She was cursing her own dream and it was not bearable for him anymore.
After ten minutes, Geet was back in mansion. “Maan I know my leaving is killing you more then me” she was going up, to see him. She knew was where Maan was. She knew what he must be feeling. She knew, he too don’t want to let her go. She reached to the room, the room where he had given her, his part of life. Had given her the acceptance to remember his memories, as her own. She stood there looking him. Maan was backing his face to her. He was crying facing to his family photos. Geet covered her mouth to stop sound of tears and runs back . She held the stair-railing to balance herself. The path was not clear due to flowing tears and she slips down……
“Maan Sir!!!! Geet!!!!!!! …….” Nakul screams….
